Do we send AP Scores now to all the colleges we're applying to, or do we only send AP Scores (next Spring, after decisions are released) to the college that we intend to enroll in? My AP Scores are pretty good, so I was wondering if sending them would benefit me in the admission process of the colleges I'm applying to (including the Ivies). I know we self-report our AP Scores on the Common App, but would it be more "credible" if I also send in official AP Score Reports directly from College Board now?

Colleges don’t fully recognize your AP scores until you have officially reported them through College Board (just like SAT scores), so I would send them in now. It may not be a defining factor of whether you get in or not, but good scores definitely don’t hurt.

Good luck :)

I’m not sending mine, schools don’t require it and that’s an extra like 15 bucks or something for each school. If you have a pile of excess money and got really good scores, then go ahead. If not, I’d just self report.

Wrong, APs are only self-reported for admissions. Official AP scores are only sent to the school where you matriculate so that they can give appropriate credit. It is not going to change anything to send your score reports with admissions, but hey, it’s your buck.
