I know that you can self report AP scores on the common app.
However, once accepted do you need to pay to send each individual score to that college or does it all go to the school on one transcript, so to say, and is it mandatory that you send them? I'm confused as to how the AP scores get sent out

I was never told it was mandatory to send the scores. But they do help with academic advising and course selection and stuff, so I sent mine after the 2010 scores came out in July.

And no, you don’t have to send each score individually. All your scores, from this year and prior, are included on the score report you send, unless you explicitly specify that a score be withheld.

Is it still $15 per school even if you withhold scores?

Once you matriculate to a college, if you want that college to use your AP scores for credit, or to exempt you from certain 101 courses, or foreign language requirements, you will need to send an Official AP score report to the college.
