Hi guys,
I was planning on applying to universities over ED and EA. So, what difference does it make if I apply prior to the EA/ED deadline,
Do I get any extra financial aid for sending in my application before the deadline?
P.S- Please let me know any universities that give better financial aid for the same.
None.
Applying before the deadline is beneficial to the university, because they can start to set up files. It can be beneficial to the applicant in that it gets something off the to-do list… But it does not increase admissions chances. It does not increase FA. So the applicant can certainly send in early, but really should only do so if they are 100% satisfied with the essays, have proofed the application, have re-proofed and run spellcheck, and had someone else proof.
Unless a school has rolling admission, like Pitt. Then the earlier you submit the better.
Be aware that many schools have earlier deadlines for merit scholarships and honors programs than their application deadlines. You need to check all the schools on your list carefully.
Maybe dorm availability and preferences by getting on the list early?
No, just be sure it’s in on time.
