Sending application/portfolio materials with Certified mail? (signature required)

Is it a good idea to send my college admissions portfolio materials using certified mail?
(The portfolio must be sent via snail mail.)

Do you think the college will look down on me for it or consider it a hassle, or do you think it would be alright?

I would really like to send it certified for my own peace of mind, but what do you think?

bump please

Idk what college you’re applying to but when I had to send my art portfolio to Stanford, they specifically asked for no certified mail, they won’t accept it. Honestly, I think it would be a huge hassle for the office to sign everything, especially since they receive hundreds to thousands of portfolio/apps. For your peace of mind, just add a little tracking sticker. I think it’s 50 cents at the post office, or if you’re sending via courier, they have tracking included.
