I'm applying EA for transfer to Chicago and I just recently completed a paper that I'm really proud of and would like to send at least an abstract of to the adcom. I know that other people have done this sort of as a sign of continued interest in the school and sort of an update at other schools but I didn't know if Chicago would frown upon this sort of thing.

I thought about e-mailing them but in some cases it's better to ask forgiveness than permission so I'm probably going to send it with a polite note explaining that I just wanted to add a short supplement to show my continued interest etc. etc.

Any thoughts?

I would do it in a heartbeat. You're plan sounds pretty good to me. I think I remember reading somewhere on the blog that it was ok to send stuff in...I'm not completely sure though.

Thanks Louie, I actually found that on the regular application blog! Basically it said that you shouldn't ask if you can send something in, just do it if you have new information. I'm going to do so right away, probably a short letter with new information(I visited the school and interviewed a few days after the deadline so I will of course mention that)

I'm posting this so that if the rest of you were wondering the same thing, now you know, haha.
