I took the SAT twice and did pretty poorly, but I took the ACT and did well. I’m planning on sending in my SAT subject scores, and I wondering if I could just send my subject scores and ACT score to UCs without sending my SAT1 scores?
Thanks!
Yes I’m pretty sure UCs allow score choice. You must check and see if they allow that, because if they do you’re in the clear.
On the website, it says “In the College Board’s Score Choice module, ensure that all scores are sent to UC. We require all scores and will use the highest scores from a single administration” but it also says “Report ACT and/or SAT scores on your admissions application.”
Do they mean that if I’m sending SAT1 scores I’ll have to send all SAT1 scores only, or does that mean that if I send all my subject test scores I have to send in all my SAT1 scores too?
The UCs DO NOT allow score choice:

It’s unclear if you can send in only your ACT with SAT Subject tests.
Yes, you can send your ACT test scores and use score choice for SAT subject tests since subject tests are not required and only recommended. You still get a pop-up on the CB website, stating you need to send all scores, but this is not correct. Both son’s send only their ACT score(s) and just the Subject test scores with no issues.
Also if you call UC admissions depending upon whom you speak with, you only need to send your highest ACT and/or SAT I score to the UC’s although on the website it does state so send all SAT or ACT scores. There is no harm in sending all scores since the UC’s will take the highest composite score from a single sitting.
