I've already submitted my Common App and all the supplements to all of my colleges. But I really, really want to go to Swarthmore, and considering that they're so selective, I want something that might push my application a little ahead in their minds, or at least show my dedication. Would it be advisable to send an extra essay (beyond the essay already required for their supplement)? And if so, which would be better to send: An essay detailing why I love Swarthmore so much (their supplementary essay was a "Why Swat" essay, but this one approaches it from a different angle), or an academic essay I wrote for my English class last year that I think is particularly good? Or something else entirely?
