Sending friendly reminders to your Referees

<p>The final deadline for my application is 4.1.2011 and some of my LoR's are still outstanding.</p>

<p>I am considering sending a friendly reminder since the letters are submitted through an online Referee system. Basically, I am concerned that one of them may not have received the e-mail linking her to the Referee site. I certainly don't want to be pushy, but I want to make sure.</p>

<p>I should probably just wait it out - I'm confident she will come through... I'm just really antsy.</p>

<p>Anyone have thought or opinions on sending friendly reminders to Referee's?</p>

<p>it honestly doesn’t hurt to check. just be polite.</p>

<p>You should send an e-mail, make a call, or drop by their office. My advisor was atrocious about writing my recommendation letter and wouldn’t do it until I pestered him twice a day for a week.</p>
