<p>I was planning on sending an abstract of my latest research project; however, I don't know if I need to put a statement about how this fits in with my future plans, considering my commonapp supplement essay talked about my field interests and what I was doing/had done to pursue them...should I just send the abstract in as a standalone thing since they have my essay as a reference point?</p>
<p>If you feel an explanation is necessary than include it in a cover letter to your research abstract. If you feel no explanation is needed then just include a cover letter that requests that your research abstract be added to your already submitted application.</p>
<p>Make sure to include your full name, birth date, and high school so that your application update can be merged with your application.</p>
