Sending in Additional Essays??

<p>So, I read somewhere on the stanford website that we are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED from sending in additional materials--does that mean we cannot send in any additional essays? I was hoping to attach a resume and an additional essay using the common additional information section. Can any stanford admits tell me if it's okay to do this?</p>
