Sending in all scores

So does it hurt that I didn't try on my last SAT? I had already got a really good ACT (34) so I just blew off the second SAT and got a 2050. Not bad, and superscores 20 pts higher to 2170 but still a 100 pt drop overall. Also my SAT II's are pretty bad. 680 USHistory, 700 lit, 740 Math 2. Will those subpar SAT's hurt me? I've got a 3.91 UW and 14/416 class rank BTW.

It isn’t extremely necessary to send in all your scores. I took the SATs and SAT IIs and did much better on the ACT, so I just sent my ACT in - and it worked just fine!

Well on the supplement there’s this statement:

I have read and understand the Pomona College Policy on Standardized Testing Reporting. I certify that I have submitted or will submit all ACT and/or SAT test scores from all ACT and/or SAT test dates.

I think that means you are not supposed to use score choice. If you are sending in the SAT and/or the ACT, you sent them everything. So, if you only want to send the ACT then you have to send it all.

We took it to mean that you must send in ALL SAT scores, ALL SATII scores, and ALL ACT scores. That is what my son did, although a few of his scores were not great. He had a very good ACT score (got the same score on both ACTs he took), which must have helped. He was accepted and is a very happy student there, although he is working much harder than he ever has before.

Yeah BengalMom that’s what I thought too. I guess I’ll double check with the admissions office just for sure then.
