Sending in an ED update?

I know that updates are generally for major awards… but I recently realized that I forgot to include all of my Model UN awards on my application (including 2 “Best Delegate Awards” and several Outstanding/Honorable).

Is this significant enough to e-mail my admissions officer about? I definitely don’t want to annoy him.

I realize that these awards aren’t that impressive, but I do want to emphasize my public speaking abilities, especially since I’m applying to Wharton. And I don’t want them to think, “Hm, she has leadership in MUN… but apparently, she sucks at it.”

Advice, advice?

I'd say do it.
I don't think there's any harm in trying.

This isn't football-Penn could care less if you're good at MUN or not as long as it is evident in your application that you're passionate about it. It's your choice...it's really not going to make a difference.

well....what if thats what one of her rec's wrote about...but she didnt even mention it. That would look pretty bad and show a lack of enthusiasm and passion for the club.

I say go ahead and send it, but do it in a way that respects ur regional director's time.

such as...

"Dear Mr. [insert name],

I am eagerly awaiting my decision from Penn, but I realized that I forgot to mention a few awards I won. I won the "whatever u wanna say" and wanted to make sure you were aware of my enthusiasm for the organization. Thanks

sincerely,
u

once again, very rough draft, and I just wrote it in a minute. Think about it before u email ur regional director, one or two errors could send the wrong message.
