Sending in AP score reports?

Does Johns Hopkins require AP score reports to be sent in, and is the deadline for that also the same as the application's?

From what I understand, for application purposes, the scores are self-reported. If you get accepted, than you need to send in the AP Score Reports.

Can anyone confirm this? AdmissionsDaniel?

Thanks.

PS, I'd like to report my AMC (formerly AHSME) and AIME scores, but the Mathematical Association of America did not respond to my attempted contacts. Would it be OK to have the test facilitator at my school send a copy of the scores that the MAA sent him?

EDIT: I know this is off topic, but I have a stigma against starting new threads... :-D

Not an official answer, but I don't know of any college (at least when I applied three years ago) that requires you to send an official AP score report when you apply. You have to self report your scores on your application and sometimes, your HS will list them on your transcript. Then, once you decide where you're going to go next fall, you can use your one free score report from your senior year tests to send your scores to that college in order to get credit/placement.

And as for AMC, as far as I remember, I had just self reported my scores. I don't remember ever sending any sort of official score report for those tests.

So it's not required, but is it recommended?

I didn't find that right away using Search, because the title didn't clarify the thread's topic.

However, there we have it from the man that we don't need to send AP scores.

As for the AMC/AIME thing, I'm just having the program coordinator at my school send a copy of the school report. I guess it's overkill, but whatever.

i'm not admissions daniel :) but, yes, that is correct. you can self-report your AP scores in your application, but at this point your schools only want to see the rigor of coursework in your transcript. WHEN you know where you're going, THEN you request(and pay) the AP people to send them for credit/placement.

See I am not needed ... that search function is amazing!!!

AMC/AIME/and other such exams just need to be self-reported.

Well, in a bout of neurosis, I had the chair of my HS math department send in a score report... eh, I guess it wont hurt.
