Sending in bad act scores?

Hey guys,
When I signed up for the ACT a few months ago they gave me the option to send my score to 5 schools for free. I wrote the schools down that I am currently planning to apply to. I took the ACT this morning and did not do as well as I had hoped. There was no clock in the room, and I did not bring a watch so I was unable to pace myself for the science section and ended up not finishing the last three questions.
Anyway, I wont be getting what I was aiming for (32+ composite), but I'm pretty sure the scores are still being sent to the schools. In case it helps; I'm applying Cornell, Bing, UMich, and Northeastern. Does it matter that a bad score is being sent? If I take it again and do better will it override the other score? If I do better on one of the sections the first time than the second, will it be superscored? Finally, what is the deal with sending both SAT and ACT scores? If I do send the ACT now, but do a lot better on my SAT later on, does it matter?
Thanks for the help :)

Also kind of random, does it matter if I’m not in NHS? I got an 83 in math last year, and wasn’t invited to apply.

As long as the school does not require ALL test scores to be sent then they should use the highest scores. If you are worried you can always cancel the scores but you have to do that before they are sent.

Thanks for the reply, can I just choose not to send the scores, but still keep it to see what I got?

thanks for the help everyone, would still like more input
