I was thinking about sending in some regional/state awards that I have won recently or hopefully will win within the next few weeks along with a small change to my application (changing one of the classes I am taking at the local college from what I put on my app).

Is it worth sending things like the awards in and when is the latest extra stuff can be sent in for it to be considered with my application (would February 7/8 be too late)? Also, is it best to fax in a sheet listing the awards and the change or should a mail it in a little earlier?

I would suggest faxing it in. For starters, you get a confirmation, and second, it's a physical piece of paper they can just grab and throw into your file folder.

I think I'll fax in a list of awards and the change near the end of january. Then I'll send in another one in February just in case they do consider it.

differential, do they send the confirmation by fax?

Kind of off topic, but: Would they accept a faxed copy of your official transcript (+secondary school report) in lieu of a mailed one if for some reason it hasn't arrived yet?

Well, somewhat on related lines, my school had sent my teacher evaluations and secondary school report together. In my app tracker, the evals have been marked off, but not the secondary school report... any idea as to what i should do? thanks!

wait for a little while longer. that happened to me for a long time, but in the end, everything was marked off. If by the end of January everything is not marked off, try calling, and/or faxing materials that are missing in. But for now, don't worry - I also sent my evaluations and transcript/SSR together, but it took a long time for the transcript/SSR to be checked off. for somebody else I know, it took a long time for one of the evaluations to be checked off. in any case, I don't think it's time to worry yet... according to MIT Admissions | Blog Entry: "Where's My Stuff?"
