Sending in Fee Waiver After College Application Deadline?

Are students allowed to submit their fee waiver forms (Collegeboard/NACAC) after the January 1st Deadline? I can't get in touch with my counselor to get the available forms, and the deadline is coming up.

I was wondering the same thing if anyone knew. I tried to call but I think all of the schools’ offices are closed.

me too. bump

I have the same question. I really need to know this soon!

if we keep bumping this, maybe someone who’ll actually answer might look at this. :)

Pretty desperate for replies. At this point, any relevant information would be helpful.
Thank you.

I guess we’re gonna find out one way or the other heh.

2nd bump…

bumppp…come on…

I don’t know how much help this is, but my waiver for BC didn’t show up online until two weeks after the deadline, I just selected the waiver option through the common app to let them know it was coming.

Well… I guess I’m going to have to send the fee waiver late…

The waiver–assuing you are eligible for one–can be sent after the deadine, but the college will not review your application until it arrives. But you really do need to take care of this as soon as your school gets back in session. Colleges with January 1 deadlines will eventually reach a point, probably sometime in early February, where they will consider your app irreversiblyincomplete.

I have the same question, but I am not using a fee-waver. Any advice here?

im sure that the college wont read the application until they get their money…if the fee waiver goes through, itll be set…if not, theyll probably ask u to pay by check…im sure they would warn u…best way to know is by calling…pretty simple

ah yeah, i’m going to be going to my college counselor’s office as soon as we get back to school…

OK. The Common App has a check box for applicants with fee waivers; it says “check this box if you are GOING to send in the fee waivers instead of paying that ridiculous price they want you to pay.” I sent in my fee waivers on Jan 2 (a day after the deadline), and I just got confirmation emails from all the schools I applied to! You can totally send in the fee waivers a little bit late.

Also, in case anyone was wondering, I sent in all my College Applications a few hours late. It probably doesn’t make a very good impression on the Admission Committee, but all the schools still took my applications. The only school you have to look out for when you submit an application late is Stanford; I’m not sure this is true, bu hear that they refuse to review applications that are even seconds late.

Just putting this out there in case some of next year’s applicants are worried just like I was.

so…what happened? I’m in the same situation…

Well Gsmax did say it worked, so I’ll put my faith in him.
