I got into my top school (CUA) with a $23k merit scholarship. I am eager to send in my deposit soon but I don’t want to be swindled out of a good financial aid package from sending it in too soon and committing myself. I am 98% I’ll be attending there and I want the good housing. Any advice?
If you are 98% and want the housing options, I wouldn’t risk not sending in a deposit. There may be a small exception to this, but a majority of financial aid offices are too busy to keep track of every student that has committed and go through a re-evaluation process for their aid.
