Is it really prudent at this point to send in any new info? My son finally wrote his abstract and will be presenting at a research symposium at the local state univ. in March but won't be very far along in his research.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Did your son mention his research at all in his application?

can’t hurt.

Yes, he did mention it. At the point of application, he’d built the optical microscope from scratch (had been working on this since last June) but had yet to begin using it in the actual physical research since there was much to tweak and work out. It has been slow going but seems now that it will be picking up speed a bit. There are 4 students working in this lab on different areas of optics. Two are graduates, ones a college senior, and one’s my son.

Thanks.

So, since he already mentioned the research in his application, would it be beneficial to add the extra info?

Thanks.

Did he fill in the mid year report yet?
If not, definitely send in the info on that.
If yes, I’m not the person to ask.

Yeah, he already did the mid-year report. It also looks like he’ll do AIME and Physics Olympiad semis again and is a NMF but it sounds like it’s too late to add all that.
Oh well! Thanks anyways.
