Sending in official transcripts

Hi everyone! I have a stupid question, and I would appreciate it if anyone can help me out. I am a transfer student and need to send in my transcripts. Do they need to be sent directly from the community college or can I get the official transcripts and then send them in myself? I have 3 cc's I've attended, and I was planning to get the official transcripts from each and send them in together. Is this okay? Thank you!

No, they have to be sent directly from the school to csulb admissions. I think the reasoning is that a person could “doctor” the grades.

I am in the same boat but it says we need to write our name and campus ID number on top of all documents we send to CSULB. If my community college sends them, how will they know my name and campus ID number?

Most cc’s allow you to request the transcripts online. Check your cc’s web page. You can input your ID, etc. when you make the request.

I sent mine myself with campus ID # and have been told that I have all paperwork necessary turned in. As long as the seal on the transcript envelope is not tamped with you should be fine!

I asked my CC to send it for me and because I am a foreign student so I have to send my out-of-country transcript myself. You should be fine sending all three transcripts together by yourself as long as you don’t open up the sealed envelope. Remember to send them the checklist so they know what is the content of the envelope.

Breezy, how did you hear that they received your stuff? I asked both my CCs to send the transcripts a while ago but haven’t heard back from CSULB.
