Sending in post-EA materials

If you apply EA and learn that you won a contest or such in, say, mid-November, is there any way of sending Stanford an update with your award before they make the final decisions?

not today, no… decisions are “done”.

but yes, probably something could be sent in, however stanford is not big on “updates” and more paperwork to process.

Well I didn’t mean today , sorry if that wasn’t clear. I’m applying this upcoming fall.

But OK. I guess it depends how good your new award is.

I sent in an update in the last week or so. Possibly too late, but it might have put me over the edge if they were unsure (won a L.A. Robotics regional competition). If it is important, why wouldn’t they want to hear about it?

Yeah - I wouldn’t bug them with every little thing you’ve done extra, but if it’s a significant accomplishment I think you could send them an email and ask it to be added to your file. I know that deferred students get access to a special website to upload any additional achievements they have (several of my friends were deferred), so they are interested in this sort of thing.

Actually, they want you to fax updates – I talked with an adcom several months ago. The fax number of the Stanford Credentials Office is: 650-723-6050
