I'm applying to another college last minute. The deadline for sending in SAT scores is December 31st.

So, if I'm sending my SAT scores from collegeboard right now, will that be ok, even though collegeboard takes a day or two to process the stuff and send it?

Some schools still accept SAT and ACT scores only via snail-mail on paper, which can take 1 to 2 weeks to complete. I found this out the hard way myself with one application this year. Whether or not a school accepts scores electronically should be listed on the college board’s web site when u choose the school and the scores to send.

Either way, since you’re likely late with an application requirement, you could take the “high road” and contact your admissions rep at the school (next week when they may be back in the office after the Holidays are over) and make them aware of the situation - and offer an apology for your tardiness. At the very least, email your admissions rep (hopefully you know whom this person is by now).

Or you can just request that the scores be sent, do nothing, wait a couple of weeks, then call the college and ask them if your application is “complete” (e.g., all materials received), and see what happens. Some colleges will be more forgiving than others, some colleges get to reading their apps slower than others, etc.
