Sending in School Reports before submitting application?

I was wondering whether it was OK have my counselor send in my transcript/recommendations before I've submitted the commonapp online. Would colleges know to save it or would they just throw it out because they don't have a file already for me?

thanks for any responses !

I am pretty sure it’s okay.
When I went to the orientation at TCNJ, the admissions counselor said that everytime they received a bit of information from an applicant (transcript, application, supplement, etc.) they would make a new file for the student, regardless of whether there was one or not before.

you can do that. I sent in my school reports before my application as well.

The University usually just creates a file for you and waits until they receive your application, then combines everything they have.

Or they might not even download the other things until they download your application.
