Wait. I’m confused. Do the Questbridge kids get to pick whether they are ED or RD, or does that letter say “We’re offering you one of our total number of spots” in just a really odd way?

Nope, not Medill. WCAS.

Northwestern is binding thru QB, I think. They also offer admissions to those who weren’t matched, if they like them.

But I figure it isn’t too significant cause they reserve those spots regardless. But to think, 12 people have their full rides to their dream school…

uggggggg I’m so jealous!!!

I heard from some people that if you call the admissions office and ask about your application status, they won’t give you an answer on the phone but they will send you an e-mail saying if you got in or not, but they were alking about their rolling schools. Anyone know if that holds any truth for NU?

sry i meant talking

What are “rolling schools,” brah?

I’m 99 percent sure that would not hold true for Northwestern. The whole point of rolling admissions is that you receive your decision in relation to when you send it in, so everybody hears back at a different time. I.e. Once they decided whether you’re in or out–as Heidi Klum would say–you hear back.

I just had to make the reference.

Thank god this week is almost over. The anxiety of next week will hopefully not be as bad, but of course will.
Thinking positively, instead of your weakness, what do you guys think your strengths are?

Mine: ECs & recs

Isn’t it crazy that we could be hearing back next Friday?!?

Anyway, positives I guess are SAT scores, why NU essay and recs

Although intellectually I know it’s quite possible I won’t get in, the reality of the situation hasn’t really hit me… as in, I’ve started researching the different dorms. oh no.

Alison is supposed to be a good dorm
i think bob is the party dorm
and there’s another one that people really like but i can’t remember the name

My strengths are my 'curriculuhz, essays, awards, ACT English and Math scores, and demonstrated interests. (Seriously. Name a way to visit the campus and I’ve done it.)

Is there an equivalent of Alison or Bob on the south campus?

via hang glider and/or air balloon? :D

i have no idea, when i was there i chilled with a friend who spent most of her time on north campus
oh and btw the one i couldn’t remember the name of was Willard, its a residential college

BEST. I find the quotes helpful

If you like to drink/smoke/party and you won’t be spending all of your time actually in the dorm, then by all means, chose this dorm. You can get away with a lot of stuff, and it’s really close to the fraternities so parties are just a stone’s throw away (makes walking home while belligerently drunk very easy). Living here is an experience, full of positives and negatives. Expect lots of sex, invasion of privacy, alcohol, weed, destruction of public property, bad smells and memorable nights.

hahaha so entertaining
(that was for bob btw)

I’m like on a stand still eight now. I don’t know what to do until I hear back from Northwestern. I should prepare myself if I don’t get in…

Yeah. The NBN housing guide is phenomenal, but I’ll be considering dorms when — and if — I’m accepted next week.

agree…

Does anybody know the exact date that the admission results are coming out?
A lot of other schools are posting their exact dates eg, cornell 10th upenn 11th…
I only know that NU is around the 15th.
I heard last year the results came out around the 12th.
Any body know?
There’s like a week left and I’m freakin out
