i was just wondering if it would be better if i should send in my online UC app a week before the due date. I wanted to wait for my SAT scores from nov. to put on my app because i really dont wanna put my old SAT scores on the application. But the scores come in on nov. 28th, and what if the UC server crashes, then im screwed, and I have to fill out information for my fee waivers for the UCs also. So that would take a lot of time. Should i just turn in my application now without the new scores? or just wait?

You can turn it in now if you are sure that you finish with everything. On the sending score section, just type in your own score and underneath that choose the "still pending" box. Then they will know to take your highest score.

i want to know if theres a chance that the server will crash on the 28th. because i am really ashamed of my test scores T.T

server will not crash, trust me

just finished my app today, 'cause one. I wanted to get it out of the way, and two. I know that last year there was a crazy UC frenzy at least at my school the day of.. and I'd rather not take the chances. I'd say apply not on the 30th but maybe a day or two before.

from past experiences with siblings/friends, the server almost ALWAYS crashes...haha

at least last yr it crashed...but I won't turn it in until the 28th...lol

if it crashes, you will have a grace period,,,not oyur fault

seriously? will they actually extend the period?

what about on 24th, 25th, 26th? will the server crash then? or is it too early for that to happen?

say if i have a great application, but just decent and quite generic essays. Is there even a chance that I can make it into UCLA or UCB?

I think I'm gonna aim for the 28th a few minutes after I see my SAT scores at CollegeBoard....also you will get an official letter of confirmation telling you that your safe and your application has been sent, right?

thanks

i think smartest way is finish your app first like the essay and award stuff. Stay to 2 am on the 28th , check the score, modify scores on your UC, and send it. The best way to avoid the crash.

but the thing is, i have to go through the WHOLE fee waiver section..which I have no idea what they r gunna ask...

what's a fee waiver. how can you get one? is that financial aid thing because i dont qualify

no its like..just pay for all the application fees..not the financial aid thing

you don't know if you qualify for fee waiver or not until the last step. That is so wrong. I don't know if I should apply to one more UC or not. Is it worth it?

I'd wait until you receive your Nov scores. The 28th is usually a slow day on the server. It's the 30th when all heck breaks loose.

just ditch school on that day to turn in the app.

i was planning on doing that :D
