I want to apply early decision to the college of arts and sciences. My SAT score is alright, but the first round I took it I got a 1670. I know they superscore, but you have to send all the scores. The same situation happend to me with my subject tests (High Chem score, low USH score, same sitting). So I am hesitant to send any SAT stuff.

If I sent just one ACT score that is decent, and no subject tests, would it work for me? What would you recommend?

They ask for your “complete testing history”, which I take to mean they want all of it.

So even though they say you can submit SAT or ACT, you have to submit both? I want to send ACT and nothing else, is this not an option? I think this is engineerjw’s question, too.

EDIT: Yes, you submit it all. From site, “No preference is given to either test. However, Penn requires that applicants submit all testing results from each administration of the ACT, SAT, and SAT Subject Tests.”

My advice to you would be apply somewhere with score choice.

I submitted only the ACT and was accepted to the engineering school last year. This is fine, as long as the policy hasn’t changed or anything…

Interesting, maybe I can send just my ACT.

You can always call Admissions at UPenn and get a definite answer that way

just checked the site, the policy is still the same.

"The American College Test with Writing, may be used in lieu of the SAT Reasoning Test and two SAT Subject Tests. No preference is given to either test. "

you’re fine just submitting the ACT.
