How should I do it? Should I start with the generic "I have reviewed the Institvte's educational opportunities thoroughly but I regret to inform you that..." and then tell them that their college was one of the most competitive but I decided to go with a better college? Or should I give them a spot on my wait-list to be courteous? How shall I reject MIT? I got in but I really don't want to go to MIT now cause Harvard gave me a call a few weeks ago for a likely. =/

on your myMIT account it has a link, in the top red box, “How to accept or decline” and then you have the option to say: not attending, I’m going to X University instead.

Actually, you send them a letter saying that unfortunately you will not attending MIT but that you really want HitMan to come off the waitlist and be admitted in time for CPW. That’s what you’re supposed to send at least…

^yea, but not in letter form. setup a portal for them to check on July 22 (22/7) and then have it overload for the first half hour that they’re anxiously scrambling to check it. lol

whatever makes you happy i guess

Well you should probably wait until Harvard accepts you in letter form

apgov, don’t burn your bridges you may want to go there for grad school someday.

Why would you want to insult them? If you were accepted into MIT, you should be smart enough to figure out how to gracefully say that you will not be attending.

^^^lol, HitMan.

apgov, be nice. Always be nice. Can’t go wrong with nice.

Glad you won’t be coming here :)

Really? you’re choosing Harvard over MIT?

Tell them to give me your spot, I’m on the waitlist!!! lol jk

what are you trying to showing off in a forum like this?!!! how much happiness do you get by this post. i feel pity towards people like you.

hopefully a grateful kid will be able to study in a school like mit because of you which is definitely great ; )
