Sending Multiple ACT Scores?

I am taking the ACT tomorrow. The ACT allows you to write in up to four college codes on the answer sheet, and ACT will send your score to those four colleges for free. So whether I like my score or not, it will be sent to the four colleges that I picked.

If I’m not satisfied with my composite score and decide to take the ACT again, will colleges accept my new, higher composite score instead of the old, lower one that ACT already sent to them?

Some will and some will not.

They will all accept the new score if you send it in time. As to how they will use the two, that will depend on the school. A small number superscore the ACT. Others look at all scores. Some will just use the highest composite or subscores. You’ll need to check the schools’ web sites.
