sending my scores early?

I have no idea what's going on here! I am registering myself for the bio and env. science AP exam today and i'm gonna apply for college in fall '12. Do I submit my scores to colleges when I get the scores, a year before I apply?…I don't get it! Can somebody explain this to me!!

AND it may be that i wont be able to take any more tests because next year my actual curricular finals are in may so, do you guys think only 2 AP exams are good enough?

No college requires AP scores for admission. If you want a college to know of your scores, you can just self-report them on your application for admission to the college or in your accompanying essay. You do’t need to submit official scores until after you are admitted and want college credit for the AP courses. An exception is NYU. It doesn’t require AP scores for admission but, for admission, you can submit three AP scores in lieu of the SAT.

Having AP courses and getting high grades in them is a factor that may be considered for admission, i.e., it shows you are taking and doing well in challenging courses. But that information is provided by your high school transcript.

I do know that they aren’t required but I was hoping to take like…7 ap’s as the colleges I am going to apply to are fairly competitive and even more for internationals. Anyway, do you think other than 2 ap’s this would be impressive to these colleges?
