Can you just ask you teacher to fill out rec letters and then give them to you so you can just send it with the entire application?

I’ve seen some colleges ask for this if you are mailing in your application. Check the college’s admissions site to see if they specify. If they don’t specify, you should probably just have the teacher mail it separately. Or you could try emailing the college’s admissions with your question.

oh really, does it matter that much, i mean, is there any reason? Basically, my school doesnt really do online common app’s for some dumb reason, so I would prefer to send it in by hand to remain consistent.

If the teacher gives you the rec in an official envelope with a signature or stamp across the sealed flap, you can send it yourself in a larger envelope. You can’t open it or you’ll void the rec.

okay, thanks, that makes sense
