Sending SAT II Scores - help!

I took my SATS at the last spring date (June), so I didn't get my scores until summer. I had no idea I would get 2200, so I hadn't planned on applying to any Ivy League schools. I decided to apply early action to Princeton, and they require 2 subject tests. I took Math II and Literature on 10/6, so if I want to get my scores to Princeton by Nov. 1st I will have to rush them. I am concerned that my scores may not be as high as I would like them to be. I would have preferred to take them at least twice.

Princeton says that they strongly recommend having your scores sent by Nov. 1st, but it isn't required. I am fairly confident that I got at least 700 on Math II, but I'm not sure about Literature. Would it be better to send both scores by Nov 1st (even if Lit is as low as 650) and take them again in Nov and send those scores too? Or should I only send math, and retake Lit and send it late?

You can order the Oct scores sent regular delivery the day you get the scores on line and they will arrive in time for consideration. Princeton actually accepts through the Nov tests for EA and none of your tests have to actually arrive by Nov 1. Note if you are taking and sending the Nov tests, for those you will have to designate Princeton as a college to receive scores in your test application to assure they will arrive on time to be considered, i.e., you cannot wait to learn of the scores before sending. In neither case do you order a rush score – designating a college in your test application as one of your free sends is actually the fastest form of delivery, faster than a “rush” send.

Whether you send both scores after seeing Oct tests is up to you but the question is what difference will it make. If you do not send it and then designate Princeton to receive Nov scores you may get low Nov scores and thus end up sending scores lower than you are withholding from Oct. It would seem therefore your best course is to just send all tests.

Okay, I’ll sign up for the Nov test but I’ll just wait and see how my Oct scores turn out. Thank you so much!
