Sending SAT scores before submitting applications to colleges?

<p>Hey guys, I know it can take awhile for SAT scores to get received by colleges, so I kind of want to get a jump on sending them. However, I remember Boston University implying that you should "send them when you send your app", but I haven't finished that yet so I guess I shouldn't send them to them yet. On the other hand, I don't want to waste money sending scores right now for my other 6 schools and then send them to BU later this month.</p>

<p>Should I just wait till I'm done with all of my apps (which will be in late December) to send all of my scores at once? Do schools expect scores to actually be processed and in their possession by the app deadline, or is that just when you need to have sent them by? </p>

<p>You can go ahead and send them. Most schools are quite good at matching them to your application when you send it.(My son applied to 6 schools and sent the scores, recommendations, and transcripts before submitting the applications. All 6 schools were able to match the scores, recommendations and transcripts to his application.</p>

<p>If you can have them sent for free now go ahead and do that.</p>
