Sending SAT scores if doing ED??!?

If im taking SATII in October and SATI in November.. will i be able to send both of them if im applying ED?.. i know its possible to send the october one.. but november? Do i use that "send scores to colleges" option on collegeboard? Do i have to mail out something? most importantly..will the scores get there on time by the time i find out oct/nov scores?

Cornell accepts Nov scores...My ques is should I use rush score report??

I'm pretty sure they'll get them on time regardless of which report you use...You don't have to mail anything youself, use the send scores option on collegeboard.

hmm.. ok..so another question

will it matter if i turn in my application earlier? does it increase my chances of being accepted? i know this is the "rolling admissions" kinda thing..but does cornell gather ALL applications and start processing them Nov. 1st? or do they get processed as soon as you turn in all the paperwork?

They create your profile as soon as they get ur stuff...but i doubt they will look at it until like November

Hmm...the kids who were accepted from my school and applied to college with rolling admissions found out first. Rejections weren't sent out until the very end. I'm not sure whether they look at your application early or not, quite honestly, but they do make you a nice little folder with all your stuff in it. I don't think sending the application in early will increase your chances significantly, but it couldn't hurt. I sent mine in last minute for ED, of course.

I e-mailed Cornell about taking the subject tests in October for ED applicants, & they said it was ok as long as I got the scores in asap. I don't know about November though.

I remember reading somewhere for Cornell that November SAT II's are ok, but November SAT I's are not. I can't remember if this was Cornell or JHU.

lol, nice, jrcho ;). I think I took the October SAT for ED and everything was fine...November is fine for RD.

hmm..how about cornell ED?

I'd assume you'd have to take it in October for ED...that's what I did.

i actually would like to know the correct answer, because i plan on taking the SAT IIs in Oct, and the SAT I again in Nov, and i am applying ED, wil they accept the Nov SAT 1 scores?

Call and ask the admissions office, or email your regional admissions counselor. Get the direct answer for your situation for this application year. Even if we arrive at a concensus on this board, things might have changed from last year. This is not something you want to chance. While we're good for most information, this is something you'd want an official Cornell answer for. Save the email response, or take down the name and contact info. of the person you speak with as a precautionary measure if things become a SNAFU later on.

ya i am actually waiting for a response for admissions of cornell, so its all good
