Should son send SAT scores "rush" for schools with a Jan. 1 or Jan 15th deadline or can they be received later than the application deadline?

We waited to see the December scores before sending so I rushed my son's scores.

While I'm sure the colleges will be busy enough with complete applications, I still would opt to rush the scores and get everything there on time. Many will probably disagree.

Check with the school--some do not accept rushed scores.

How can a school not accept rushed scores? That doesn't seem to make sense to me. Some schools I noticed said that it wouldn't make a difference, but if they get the scores, why would it matter if they were rushed or not?

Echoing garland here. Check with the schools. Some request that you do NOT rush scores because they get weekly downloads of scores. Rushing just inundates them with more paper.
