Alright, I'm an international, and it seems even after giving the SAT, it won't stop boggling my mind. I have around...2 days to send my scores, according to collegeboard. The problem is, while I know around 5 colleges I definitely want to send my scores to, I may want to apply to 3-4 more colleges, but I don't know for sure which ones (for eg, right now I'm looking at UChicago v. Brown v. Amherst, or any two, or all three, I really don't know). I need some time to decide between these three and a few more, but collegeboard's FAQ says I have to finalize my score recipients by Monday. Can I not send ANY score reports of my October SAT after that?! What does the Monday deadline mean? ...um, sorry about the last minute panic, but I need answers, fast.

the monday deadline is for your 4 FREE score reports. after monday and you want to send your score reports to other schools, you can do so, it’ll just cost money.

You’re certain about that, right? I mean, I won’t be caught in a situation after Monday where I can’t send my SAT scores to any college at all? Because that would be slightly worrying…

Also, why do I need to add recipients for my OCT SAT scores at all? I’m taking the SAT 2s in November, why can’t I just pay for sending additional score reports of those scores, as they will include my previous scores? I don’t get any of this. If I add recipients for the Oct SAT scores beyond the four free ones, won’t it be a sheer waste of money as I’ll have to repay to send them again in November?

You can just pay to second them after wednesday. I promise haha. and yeah, as long as you’re not in a rush to get the SAT scores out for October, it is technically a waste. If you’re applying EA or ED you should absolutely send in Oct. though.

*send, not second

Ah. Thank you so much!
