Sending SAT Scores Question

My son has taken the SAT twice and will be a senior next year. He is my only child; therefore, it is all new to me. When he registered, we did not select any schools to send scores to. I thought you wait until you have decided where you might apply. We are currently in the visiting schools stage. Is this correct?

You can either wait until you have decided which schools you’re going to apply to or you could not send them and see what your scores look like first. I know that when you eventually send your scores to the colleges you’re interested in(which you have to do), it is going to cost a little bit of money because you didnt originally send them when registering for the SAT. On the SAT i think they give the first 4 score receipts for free, but 4+ it costs a certain amount. Personally, i haven’t sent any SAT scores out yet but i will when i finalize my college list and find out which schools i’m going to apply to this fall. I hope this helped.

Thanks Ryan123. My son was planning on waiting as you have suggested.

you’re welcome.
