my GC sends out an official copy of our ACT/SAT scores–the high school copy. Do i need to get SAT/ACT to send in a second copy, too?
thanks!

Yes, you do. The only "official" score is the one that comes directly from SAT/ACT. (That's how they make money...)

that's what i thought originally...but my GC sent my scores to one of my schools, and they sent me a letter saying that they had received my official scores...and i got in

They don't need them directly from Collegeboard. Even though they ask for official, what they usually mean is by proof, not just written in on the section on your application where it asks for them. I've already been admitted to 3 schools and I didn't send my SAT scores from Collegeboard, I sent them a photocopy of my score report, and my high school transcripts also includes them.

liek, that's exactly what i've been doing...i'm just worried that some of my apps will come up missing the official scores b/c i didn't send them by cb, and i don't want them to be discarded b/c they don't have "official" scores

my school sent them but i also sent them thru cb
