there's something on the SAT's that lets you send your SAT scores to some colleges for free. if you are a junior and you feel you did not do so well on the SAT's should you still use that to send the scores to the colleges or should i wait until i take the test for a second time?

It doesn't make any difference. When you tell them to send your scores -- even your better-the-second-time-around scores -- they send ALL the scores to the schools you have named.

I think her question may have been whether it would have a negative impact. If so, I wonder the same thing. :) I don't think I did very well my first time around, so I'm not sending them right now (wouldn't have anyway). I'm just waiting so they see my poorer scores right along with the higher ones.

If all they've received on you is your scores, they're not even going to look at them; they're just going to file them away. It's not until you're a senior and just about everything on your app is in that they'll start to pay attention. So many people send scores to schools they wind up not applying to, they just don't pay attention at this point.
