Sending SAT Scores to National Merit Corporation?

I recently registered to take the January 23 SAT, and the College Board said that the first four score reports that you send to colleges are free. Do I have to put the NMSC as one of the four institutions to where my scores would be sent in order to potentially become a National Merit semifinalist/finalist?

Also, this is the old SAT that I’m taking. I took the revised PSAT (got a 1500, very happy), so would sending the score report for the old SAT change anything? It’s all so confusing!

If you are a junior you NEED to send you SAT to NMSC. Yes, use one of your free score to do this, No doesn’t matter if it’s the old or new SAT.
