I sent ALL of my SAT scores including the October one to my early schools on October 29th through Collegeboard online. One of my early schools was University of Michigan and now that I check back with the school's website, it says all scores need to be received by November 1st. Considering that the regular service takes seven days, my scores probably arrived now, instead of Nov. 1. Will it affect my chances to my early schools? I thought the date I submitted the scores counted..not the date they were arriving on. HELP! and Thanks in advance.

**** WAAIT, it takes a week for SAT scores to be sent to colleges right?

My guess is that asking Michigan directly would yield the most reliable response.

I saw on the college board website that it takes “approximately 4 weeks” for SAT scores to be delivered to the college you requested them to be sent to. I was very surprised it took that long. I had not remembered seeing that before, so maybe a backlog occurs at the college board around this time of year. The EA school my daughter needed the scores reported to said that it’s okay for the scores to arrive in the next few weeks, after its Nov. 2nd deadline, so we were lucky and didn’t have to use the $27 “rush” delivery.

Flinty- just wondering, what was the name of your school?

does anyone know about early action for trinity- i indicated on my common app that i would also submit my dec scores, even though application due date was december first [today]

will they still consider my dec scores???

Hey blahelevenblah!

What happened with the University of Michigan?

I’d be interested in knowing because I’m applying early action (deadline: Nov 1st) too and am planning to retake the SAT in October.

I saw the ‘will accept October SAT scores only IF received by Nov.1st’ thing on the website too. The SAT scores start being sent Oct. 28th. And Michigan doesn’t accept rushed scores. So, I’m pretty confused.

Wait, Michigan says Nov. 1st is a postmarked date.

So, does that mean that even if you request it on Oct.29th it is postmarked for later…?

Well, anyway, I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me what happened with you.
