I'm currently trying to send my SAT scores and I'm having a bit of a problem. First of all, I'm pretty sure I completely underestimated how long it will take for the scores to arrive at my schools. If I have deadlines of 11/1 and I send scores on the 19th of October how long is it going to take?

The other problem is that when I registered for the October test I accidentally registered for the November test and you can't cancel a registration. So now I have a spot for the November test that I'm not planning on taking. But for some reason I can't figure out how to send my May scores and my October scores (which aren't out yet) but not my November scores, which I won't have. If I try to send scores that aren't out yet, I have to send the November scores, but if I don't send the November scores I can't send the October scores. My October scores will be out in 5 days so I could wait, but if it's going to take a few weeks to send I'll have already missed a bunch of deadlines. Does anyone know if there is a way to get around this? I'm freaking out here because I really don't want to miss all my deadlines.

If you order scores sent in your Nov registration, absolutely nothing will be sent until the Nov scores are released.

If you could find your Oct registration, it would currently be impossible to order scores sent through it. You had until Oct 14 to identify colleges in your test registration to send that score and any prior scores when the Oct scores are released. Right now you are in the hiatus period for that test registration and you will not be able to order anything sent through it until after the scores are released at which time you will have to pay a fee per college for the send.

To send May scores now, you need to find your May test registration. If you cannot find it on-line, call College Board.and ask how to find it.

Before panicking completely be aware of the following. Most of the colleges with ED or EA Nov 1 application deadlines accept scores even if they arrive after the application deadline. Moreover, many of them even take the Nov SAT test for EA or ED. Thus, check the colleges you are applying to for actual rules. A few (Mich is one) do want scores in their hands by Nov 1.

Which brings us to the last point. If you can find your Oct test registration, then you can send both the Oct and May test by ordering them sent on the day the Oct scores are released to you on-line. There is actually a high chance they will be delivered to the college by Nov 1 since sending to a college these days merely consists of CB processing your order and placing your scores in a secured on-line account that each college has with CB.
