Sending SAT Scores

I'm applying EA to a couple of schools.

I've already sent them my old SAT scores, but I'm still waiting for the October scores to come out on the 28th.

Should I wait to submit my common app until I receive my October scores, and then send them out so they can make a decision on the new ones in consideration?

Or will I be fine if I submit my common apps for those schools now, and send them the score when I receive it.

The EA deadline for these schools are all November 1st.

Thanks!

You have already sent your old score. Unless you are expected your new score to be much worse, I don’t see the reason to wait and decide whether to submit the new score. Don’t wait till the last week to submit the application. There will be heavy traffic. Also, do request your score reports as soon as possible, even for the upcoming ones. The only way to make sure your application to be completed by the deadline is to submit it early and get a confirmation e-mail or access to the portal for checking application status ahead of time.

To piggyback on to this question…D did not have good SAT scores on past tests. Expecting better numbers when the Oct 28 results come out. She has some EA app’s waiting to send. Should she wait until she has the scores in hand or send in the electronic applications without any scores and then add them on later?

That’s precisely my situation at the moment. I’m guessing it is better to send in the apps now as Bill said, then wait and not get them in at all due to traffic. Then when we get the October scores we send them in asap.
