Sending SAT scores

What happens if colleges asking for all test scores only receive some? I’m in a weird situation where I’ve taken the SAT 2 years after hs graduation and did poorly compared to HS and I really don’t want schools to see that grade, yet my “prospective college” mandates all test scores be sent. I know that it is an option on collegeboard, but is there any way they will know that I didn’t send a score?

If the college requires all scores, you should provide them. As to whther the college will know whether you sent all scores in your situation, the answer is most likely not since College Board sends nothing to a college to even indicate you took a test if you exercise score choice to prevent a test from being provided.

Be aware you may have a different issue. If at the time you apply your original test is more than five years old, the college may require a more recent one. Many follow a rule that tests older than five years will not be used to determine admission. That results from a guideline that College Board has previously provided colleges which says that a test more than five years old may not be a valid indicator of the test takers probable college success.
