Sending SAT Scores

I just read today that their deadline is Dec 31 to receive scores. Is that actually a strict deadline?

I havn't sent them yet, and I could have them "rushed" for an extra 30$, and they would arrive before the 31, but I would rather save that money if it's not necessary.

Need I rush them?

I might add that I'm in-state.

The UC application status website says that official score reports must be received by late january, collegeboard.com says they must be received by Dec 31, and UC berkeley's own FAQ section for undergrad admissions states that they don't want you to send them any more documents.

I'm slightly confused.

What am I meant to do?

Not sure I understand your question. Just send regular now, don't wait. There is no need to rush because it might delay the scores sent to UCB.

Ok, allow me to re-phrase:

I have not sent scores anywhere as of now. In order to meet UCB's supposed Dec 31 deadline (according to CB), do I need to rush-send the scores now?

The last acceptable test date is December. The real deadline for scores is in January. Send them normally; do not use the rush service.
