Sending SAT Subject Tests

I'm uncertain as to whether or not I should submit my sat subject test.

Just to give you an idea of what the rest of my application looks like, I'm in the top 10% of my class of 670 kids, on the SAT I got a 1510/1600 and a 2260/2400, and on the ACT my composite score was a 33.

However, on the SAT II's my scores are:
English Literature: 660
U.S. History 750

I know they "highly recommend" two subject tests. Should I still send my English Literature score???

Why don’t you send the History to start and retake another SAT II in December?

Send your scores. :)

Thanks for the advice. At this point, if I’m applying for Early Action, do I need to send the scores through rush shipping?

No, just send the scores ASAP and we’ll use the self-reported ones until the official report arrives.

Dean J,

Thank you so much for all of your help. Your input throughout these threads has certainly made the application process a whole lot easier. Honestly, because of your posts on this website along with your posts on the admissions blog, applying to UVA has been much less stressful than applying to other schools. For that, I cannot thank you enough.

If you only send 1 score instead of two will it still be considered? 610 in Latin didn’t really satisfy me (though it taught me that standardized Latin is completely different from literal translating) but I like my bio score!

i never sent Subject Test scores and I still got in… A lot o people I know here actually didnt send them either

In state or OSS? And you probably really good scores from other tests, unlike me. Sadly, only my near perfect GPA is truly UVA worthy

Send your scores and stop fixating on this one component. There are other things that should be getting your attention right now. :)

ah, the voice of reason. will do!

i’m out of state.

i see. thanks!
