So I took the March SAT, meaning I still did not get my scores back.

But collegeboard is telling me I shouldn't waste FOUR free score reports to schools. I have a couple of schools in mind, but I don't want to show them a (maybe) horrible score.

Beside that does this even mean? Sending free score reports to college. WHat do they see?

In order to apply to (most) colleges you need to send them your SAT scores.
-> You send SAT scores through collegeboard’s website (send a score report, or something similar) -> Each score report contains 1 or more test scores (you can decide which results to include. My advice - wait until you take your very last test and send all your scores in one report. Sadly, I didn’t know about this option and had to send 2 reports and pay twice). Each score report has recipients. Each recipient costs a certain fee -> Collegeboard gives you 4 recipients for free. The colleges receiving the free score reports will see exactly the same as ones you paid for. I hope that helped.

I too didn’t know of that and paid twice for score reports to two colleges (once in Dec and once in Jan). Send your free score reports to your general safety and financial safety colleges.

Every time you take SAT, you get four free score reports and they can be used only after a few days from the test date. For example, I took the Jan SAT and the last date I could use my free score reports was Feb4. After Feb4, I won’t have any free reports.

Yes, you need to choose the recipients within ten days of taking the SAT. Otherwise, you are required to pay the $11 fee per college or scholarship program.

Ya if you send the score reports by THAT date, then all your recipients will see your scores when they are out. Sometimes the colleges get scores a couple of days before they are actually out!
