If I take my last SAT tests this year and have the score reports sent to some colleges on my list, will colleges just create a file or something for me, even if they are not technically accepting applications yet? Does the same apply to transcripts for classes taken at a community college?</p>

<p>Most colleges will start a file for you when they get SAT or ACT scores sent to them from the testing agency. It is probably best not to send any transcripts until you are actually applying next fall.</p>
<p>I sent my score reports to a couple of my colleges that way (beginning from the summer before junior year), and I had no problems when I applied in the fall.. everything was marked received.</p>
