Is it in any way advantageous to send SAT/SATII scores ASAP to colleges early? Or should I just wait until fall?

I took my SAT in October 2011 and my SAT II in June 2011, and I am happy with them. So my scores have just been sitting there for a while...I don't know if I should just send them already. Any suggestions?

If you plan to retake either test, continue to hold your scores. No need for them to know more information than you want them to see. However, if you are certain that you will not take the test again and you are certain that you will apply, then sending the scores now is one more item you can complete on your application checklist.

Sherpa’s point about recruited athletes is the only other argument in favor of sending them now.

Although you can have the College Board send 4 FREE scores when you register for either test, it is more advantageous to wait, especially for colleges that offer score-choice. Once the scores are sent, you cannot take them back!

Also, sometimes if you send them too early, they can get lost.
