Yale says if I applied early action I must take the SATs no later than November. Is it OK however if I take an SAT II in December to send to my other colleges that are regular decision?

Yes. Thats fine.
I am actually doing the same thing (needed another subject test for GT)

Thanks, but another quick question. How do I know if Collegeboard sent my scores or not? Like…I printed the invoice and everything but is there some sort of “Score Sent Page” or something that I should end up on? Or is there some sort of status report I can check to make sure my scores were sent?

Oh yea…and my score report order invoice includes my scheduled December test in the list of scores that they will send to Yale. Do I need to remove this because Yale won’t receive that score in time anyway?

^^^^^ I took advantage of the four free test reports that come with taking the test, and sent one to Yale. I didn’t get an invoice or any confirmation… is that ok?

I took the November SAT Subject Test, and listed Yale as a recipient. However, I just realized that they won’t receive this score until late November. At this point, won’t most decisions be already made? I am afraid that if they go through my application sometimes between November 1 and November 23, they will see that my SAT score report are missing and automatically put me in the “defer” pile. Should I just go ahead and send my previous scores now (& pay an extra $10), and then send another one once the November scores come out?

^ If Yale says the November date is fine, then it’s fine. Save your money and don’t worry about it.

@ ellegee: I can see your concern about not having ANY scores on file until the November results are forwarded to Yale. If the $10 is also a concern, I’d send the scores now and then self-report the November scores to Yale, offering to order them up if they want you to do so. You can even tell them up front that that’s your plan and ask them now if they want you to pay the extra $10 for the November results.

Thanks for the advice D’yer. I went ahead and paid my $10 and sent it out today - let’s see how it goes! Hopefully, it’s not too late.
