I haven't sent my SAT and ACT scores yet. It's already past midnight EST for Jan 1 schools, and I know they take a few weeks to arrive anyway. Is it going to be a problem that I'm sending them now? I really worried about it, I can't believe I didn't do this before.

Just request that they be sent asap. Do not rush scores (some schools aren’t equipped to deal with this.)

Send them electronic. They go out faster.

I have my ACT and SATs submitted, didn’t do rush delivery. I presume it’ll be fine, mainly because of the fact that many institutions accept January scores, etc… Thank you!

yea dont be worrying about them i sent mine like 3 days ago with the no rush thingy…at least i tried to send them…i hope they accept them…if not then we are both screwed…

hi quick question
can i send in my scores after my january scores come out? (for the schools that accept jan scores)
I don’t really want to pay twice for each school…

Depends on what school. Go read the admissions website and see what their last possible test score is that they will accept. Jan 22 scores don’t come out till 3 weeks later plus delivery time - which could be almost March by the time the colleges receive them, so it may be too late to wait for those scores.

Most places I’m applying to don’t mention explicit times by which they have to have received the scores and say just to send them ASAP. The exceptions are UVA (which says Jan 1st) and Amherst, which says to be done taking tests by Dec 31st, and adds not to bother their office until Jan 22nd because it’s closed. So I’m hoping if I send today, the scores will be there by the time they reopen their office.

I can’t believe I did this either.

cqm547, I think we should be fine: because it takes a time between a week and two weeks to send your scores to the admissions office, I think our scores will probably be arriving with the scores of people who sent them on or just before Jan 1st, and the admissions people won’t discriminate between them. Fingers crossed, at any rate.

Thanks other posters, this really calmed me down.

Oh god, I applied to UVa and I sent my scores in at like 2 am… I also sent my common app essay in like 20 minutes late, it was done and I submitted it for my other Jan 1 schools, but I just totally forgot about it for UVa for some reason. It submitted though, and they’ve downloaded it. I bet it’ll be fine- it’s not like there’s anything that can really be done about it at this point anyway.
