I plan on applying early action to most of my colleges. I’m taking the October ACTs and since I hopefully plan on doing much better on this test than my September test, I want to send these results to my colleges. Some of my colleges want to receive scores by 2 weeks after the Nov 1 deadline. If I send my scores through the 4 free score reports on the act website do you think they will be sent to my colleges within those 2 weeks?
According to the ACT website, the scores from the 10/22 test will be sent to colleges on 11/7 so you should be fine. That said, I’d check each college’s website. They should explicitly state the latest testing date they’ll accept for early decision.
@annamom, @mk2112 , apologies, I got the ACT confused with the SAT. The SAT sends their scores to colleges 1 day before they are released to the students. For the Oct 1st testing: “Available to students beginning Oct. 27.
Sent to colleges beginning Oct. 26.”
As noted above, if you go to each college’s website, they should explicitly state the last testing date they’ll accept for EA/ED.
